Omg brit. I didn’t think I could feel so much for a book than I did when I read the ravenhood triology but here you fucking come with these two books.

This book was all about love and heartbreak and mess ups and addiction and ruin. All the emotions wrapped up in a book. I could not put this book down. I ate it up in one sitting.

Lennon, a people pleaser goody two shoes moves to a new school in 4th grade. She’s met with a mean boy with the most piercing blue eyes. He immediately calls her Leonard and there starts their years-long fued. She becomes best friends with Claire who just so happens to be Macon's younger sister. (Macon stayed back a year due to family issues)

Jump forward to their senior year of high school.

Macon is constantly high and doing drugs and drinking. An addict.

Lennon is just following Claire and pleasing everyone around her.

They find themselves revolving around each other. In the art room during free period, stolen glances in the hallway, at the rec center.

They stop fighting the urges and end up sneaking around. Never getting all the way.

Their love is messy and bad and toxic. He’s bad for her. She's bad for him.

He's more addicted to her than any of the drugs he takes.

Claire and Macons mom, and Lennons dad end up falling for each other and getting married. Making Lennon and Macon step siblings. Makes things messy

Claire finds out about them. She says really cruel things to Macon and he goes off on a bender. Lennon is frantic trying to find him. She goes to his ex Sam’s house to see if he's there and then they both end up going to find him. They finally find him unresponsive, lennon starts CPR and hes ruched to the ER. He survives but their relationship doesn’t he breaks it off in such a nasty way...and they try so hard to stay away from each other...until prom night.

All hell breaks lose. They sleep together. She wakes up. Hes gone. She goes home and is sent away to her aunts house in England for the rest of the school year and summer.

It is messy and heartbreaking. Lennon finds an unlikely friendship with Sam and they quickly become best friends. She is there for Lennon through her worst days of her life.

If you are looking for a nice easy feel good read, this is not for you. It is a heartbreaking story of a love that just could not stand that test of that time in their lives.

Read this book. Go download it or buy it or something. You do not know what you are missing

This book gives me Marcus and Ginny vibes from the show Ginny and Georgia. This is in my top 5 of my tops reads ever!!

Macon is her tormentor, her best friends brother, a delinquent, druggie.

He brought out the worst in her while she tamed him.

There was love. Pain. passion. Hurt. ruin. heartbreak.
