This is the second book I read by Sara Cate and it was just as good as the first I read. I did read them out of order lol but it doesn’t really matter because they are standalones but a series. I read Give me More which followed Drake, Hunter and Isabel if i remember correctly.

This book follows Charlotte, or Charlie and Emerson. Emerson is the CEO of a sex/kink club and the dad of Charlie’s ex, Beau. She stumbles upon Emerson when she has to go pick up her half of the safety deposit check from her and Beau’s apartment, at Emerson’s house. He then offers her a job as his secretary and it ill goes up (winky face) from there (crying laughing face) They don’t plan to fall for eachother but it just happens.

This book was such a quick and easy read. I see a forbidden love trope and I am all in! I literally read it in 4 hours lmao! From the beginning this book just started off strong! No need to go slow lol it just jumps right into the angst. It touches on self worth where Charlie doesn’t think she's good enough. She never thinks she's worthy and Emerson is constantly trying to prove to her that she is.

Charlie and Emerson’s dynamic was just really good right from the beginning!
