This is my first read by Laurem Biel and it did not disappoint! I bought Hitched honestly because I saw a TikTok about it and the one quote in the TikTok had me needing to know more! That is how it starts though, am I right!? Lol
Hitched follows Selena, a girl who grew up with everything, a wealthy, well to do family and always had the best. Her family all but forced her to marry her husband for a business arrangement. He turned out to be abusive and just downright mean. She was driving home in the pouring rain and pulled over for a bit to wait out the rain. In comes Lex, a felon who has escaped prison. He's a nasty man with an even worse past. She decides to go for it and give him a ride.....and that's just when it all begins!!!!
Hitched is a dark romance hitchhiker romance with trigger warnings a mile long. It is not for the faint of heart but it is ooooo soooo good! Lauren knows how to write dark and dirty.
This tropes in this book are literally never ending and I am her for it. Like never did I think that I would love a morally grey hitchhiker MMC, but here I am drooling over a con on the run (crying laughing face). Lex plays dirty, and “plays” even dirtier, if you get what i'm saying. I love how he calls Selena, Rabbit because of the good luck rabbits tail that hangs in her car.
This book is dark and depraved and I am her for it. I cannot wait to read Captured by Lauren Biel!! I mean it was banned on KU due to content, so it has to be good right?! Lol
