Let me just start off by saying, I had super high hopes for this book because of all the talk about it and everyone saying how awesome it was but…unpopular opinion, I disliked this book 🤷🏼♀️ I was so looking forward to reading this book because I mean it’s a hockey🏒romance. What’s to not like about it? I know so many people said they loved it but
Don’t get me wrong their banter back and forth was cute but she was really mean to Nate and for really no reason at all. Even the first time they met, like you don’t even know the dude, why are you being such a bitch.
I get it though, her character is supposed to be portraying a ruthless, independent, go after what you want kinda girl, but idk. Just felt like she had so much hostility. I feel as though there were just wayyy to many characters in this book and feel as though she focused more on explaining them than an actual plot?!
There was like so much going on in the book but also not much going on at the same time…. The spice was there and her and Nate were super cute together! I also loved the reverse grumpy sunshine trope! Was nice for a change to see the girl being the bitchy one 😂 Nate was the sunshine she needed in her life whether she knew it or not.
I also loved the best friend/friends with benefits relationship that her and Ryan had in the beginning! I wanted to kill Aaron with the way he manipulated her and was always putting her done. And when he kissed her at the championship, man i was seeing red lmao I wanted to hurt him. Henry needs own book!
Thank you for reading 😊 I am excited to keep sharing more about my reads with you!
